The pictures on this page are all of the famous Na Pali Coast Wilderness Park. These beaches are primary destinations for those kayaking along the coast. If you look very closely at the second and third photographs on this page you will see parts of the famous Kalalau Trail. This may be the most famous of the Hawaiian State Parks on Kauai, but there are eight other state parks on the island and more than 70 county parks. We were told over and over again that one of the reasons Kauai is such a magnificent place to live is that over seventy percent of it is pretty much inaccessible. Our helicopter tour seemed to verify the claim.
