Mouse's Tank - The Rock Art

The beautiful petroglyphs depicted here are a small sample of the wealth of rock art along the trail leading to Mouse's Tank. They were scratched into the desert varnish covering the red sandstone long before Mouse or the European settlers arrived here. They date back many hundreds if not thousands of years and testify to the importance of this small catchment of water in this arid land.
