Many of the towns in Southern Alaska are not accessible by road. A cruise is a good way to visit them. We sailed out of Seattle on Holland America's M.S. Noordam. A beautiful ship, spotless in every way, very comfortable balcony accommodations, delicious cuisine, plenty of interesting activities, zero hassles, and absolutely outstanding service from a genuinely happy crew that were a pleasure to be around. Our ports of call included Glacier Bay National Park, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, Canada. (This trip was so enjoyable that we sailed with Holland America again. This time a Winter Voyage to the Hawaiian Islands.)
