Wellington - Old Saint Paul's Church
Construction was started on Old Saint Paul's in 1865 and it was consecrated as Wellington's first Anglican Cathedral in 1866 by Bishop Abraham. In 1964, amidst considerable controversy, the diocese of Wellington moved to the newly constructed Wellington Cathedral of Saint Paul. Today Old Saint Paul's is operated as part of the national trust by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.
