Arches National Park
There are over 2,000 catalogued arches in Arches National Park. The largest is Landscape Arch at 306 feet from base to base. All were formed by erosion over a period of millions of years. Native Americans occupied the area for several millenia and left some excellent pictographs as evidence of their passing. Anglo-European miners and ranchers arrived in the nineteenth century. Wolfe Ranch preserves a glimpse into this era. Arches National Park should be on everyone's short list of Must Visit Destinations.
