Rock Creek was an important stagecoach stop during the 1860s for travelers moving between Salt Lake City, Utah, and Genoa, Nevada. The coaches of John Butterfield and Wells Fargo passed this way as did the Pony Express. In addition to fresh horses there were blacksmith and wagon repair facilities available. |
