Beatty is located at the end of Oasis Valley on U.S. Highway 95 in eastern Nevada about 100 miles north of Las Vegas. The community gets its water from the Armagosa River which flows through and under town. Beatty was established at the turn of the century and served as a central supply center for mines located in the Bullfrog Mining District. Today it serves as a gateway into Death Valley National Park and base of operations for rock hounds and desert aficionados. |
